Embattled Line §
Complex line resembling the crenellations atop a castle wall. Conflicts with other “square” lines.
A two-sided charge embattled has indentations on its upper edge only. A charge embattled on both
sides is blazoned “embattled counter-embattled” if the indentations are synchronized (e.g., both go up at the same point) or “bretessed” if they are opposite.
