A device for recording counts and performing arithmetic.

Default orientation: fesswise with sliding rails palewise. No proper coloration.

A period artifact, not used in period armory. The version depicted here originated in Asia, and is considered a Step From Period Practice (SFPP) as it was not used in medieval Europe. Prior to the November 2020 LoAR it was often referred to a "oriental abacus."
