The Pennsic Traceable Art Project (circa 2005-2007) assembled what was for a long time the largest freely-redistributable collection of heraldic line art intended for use in SCA armorial submissions.
With the permission of the PTA's editor, Ailis Linne, many of the illustrations in that collection have been included in this new, expanded set — indeed, the initial goal of this project was just to provide an updated version of the PTA book, although it has since grown beyond that.
Visit the Pennsic Traceable Art source page to view these converted items — or start from the home page to browse the complete range of choices available in this new expanded collection.
The original PTA collection is still available as a single 125MB PDF file or as individual pages, listed below, along with the corresponding element in the current collection, if any.
The 565 items marked "see" are vectorized versions or digitally-traced adaptations of the PTA originals, while the 79 marked "see instead" are taken from other sources but are in comparable postures. There are also 57 marked "Not Converted" which are not yet available in this collection.
Note that the PTA includes a number of depictions which have been ruled unregistrable. To avoid disappointment, review the comments on the linked pages and consult a knowledgeable herald before submission.
